Reduce Rosacea Symptoms with LED Light Therapy
Our founder, Laura, suffers from rosacea – red, flushed and angry skin is something she has battled with for many years. She knows how frustrating it can be.
After supervised treatment with a dermatologist and with ongoing prescription cream, Laura now loves that she can keep rosacea at bay from home with our LGLOW LED light Mask (but she still won’t stop eating hot chillies or taking hot showers…some habits die hard!).
What is Rosacea?
Rosacea is an inflammatory skin condition that can often be misdiagnosed as eczema or allergies. Its causes are still unknown and currently there isn’t a cure. However, it’s not all bad news - LED Light Therapy has been found to effectively reduce the symptoms of Rosacea and provide relief.
Rosacea is a condition that causes skin to appear red due to inflamed and broken capillaries on the face. If left untreated the condition can worsen, be painful and can even cause psychological distress.
What can I do to ease the symptoms?
If you’ve been diagnosed with Rosacea, it’s likely you’ve had to endure expensive dermatologist visits and various treatments and creams. But there is something you can do in the comfort of your own home, a couple of times a week that can help to reduce the symptoms and visibility of Rosacea.
LED light therapy is effective on the small blood vessels visible on the skin and because of this it can be a very effective way to manage Rosacea symptoms.
How does it work?
LED light therapy has a number of benefits including:
- promoting collagen production and the renewal of skin cells;
- reducing redness;
- reducing the size of blood vessels on the face;
- promoting skin healing;
- soothing and calming sensitive skin.
How can the LGlow LED Light Mask help?
The LGLow LED Light Mask has three light settings.
The red light works on the demodex mites and boosts circulation. It penetrates below the skins surface and stimulates production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) – in simple terms, our cells source of energy.
The amber light helps to reduce the redness by making the appearance of blood vessels on the face smaller.
The blue light is very effective at reducing inflammation and reducing redness as well as killing acne-causing bacteria to reduce Rosacea associated breakouts.
Rotating through all three colours on a regular basis can help to settle the redness, bumps and inflammation associated with Rosacea resulting in more even-toned, glowing skin.
